Let’s clear a
few things up.
What the app does, what it needs from you, and where the limits are.
What does MellowMise actually do?
It helps adapt supported recipes around declared allergies, dietary preferences, household profiles, servings, and optional nutrition targets. AI-assisted changes, warnings, and nutrition coverage belong in one recipe review. You decide what to use before cooking.
What does Puff Up do?
Puff Up is our name for one recipe adaptation: your people, portions, and preferences, with the changes to review. Serving changes, ingredient suggestions, and dietary warnings belong in the same result—not three different recipe flows. Pro adds household profiles, nutrition targets, and pantry options.
What are Mellows?
Mellows are Household Profiles—the people you cook for and their declared needs. Pro can use active profiles to suggest shared options or separate recipe branches when constraints differ. This is AI-assisted planning, not a formal guarantee that every household conflict is resolved.
Can it import every recipe URL?
No. Import depends on the source page and available recipe data. Some pages block access or cannot be parsed. Use manual entry when a link fails, and check the captured ingredients and instructions against the source.
What does Pantry know?
The ingredient names you saved. Matching can prioritize options using those names. It does not automatically track quantities, freshness, depletion, product labels, or cross-contact. You check what is actually available.
Will it hit my nutrition targets?
Targets guide adjustments where data is available; they are not guaranteed outcomes. Ingredient matching and recognized measurements affect calculations. Review coverage and missing-data notes, and treat nutrition values as estimates.
Can Sentinel tell me a recipe is suitable for an allergy or medical diet?
It flags known mapped terms and supported dietary-rule triggers for review. It can miss ingredients and cannot establish medical suitability or cross-contact conditions. No warning is not an all-clear. Check labels and follow qualified dietary guidance.
What do the cooking-role suggestions mean?
Suggestions consider roles such as binding, fat, acid, and leavening. That guidance does not independently verify flavor, texture, chemistry, or cooking success. Review the recipe and the replacement’s label.
How does browser-to-phone sync work?
Save the recipe to your Recipe Box while signed in. Use the same MellowMise account in the extension and mobile app, and confirm the saved recipe appears before cooking. Capturing or transforming alone does not complete save and sync.
What is free, and what is Pro?
Declared dietary constraints, known-term allergen checks, and supported rule warnings are free. Pro adds full AI-assisted adaptation, nutrition target tuning, Mellows household use, pantry matching, prep lists, and PDF export. Limited previews may be offered to free accounts. Compare plans.
Who handles payments and refunds?
Apple handles App Store purchases; Google handles Play purchases; Paddle handles web checkout. Store billing is not the same as choosing an Apple Pay wallet card. Manage subscriptions and refund requests with the channel where you bought. Read the policy.
I paid, but Pro is missing. What now?
Sign in to the same app account, check the subscription in your store, and try Restore Purchases in Settings for a store purchase. Web orders can take time to sync. Don’t repurchase to troubleshoot; contact support with the purchase channel and receipt details. Never send your password or full payment-card information.
Can I license this for a clinic or integrate an API?
There is no current self-serve clinical license or public integration plan. MellowMise is a consumer app and extension. Contact support to discuss an idea; that conversation is not a promise of availability or clinical capability.
