A place to
look closer.
A recipe can contain an ingredient you didn’t expect. Sentinel helps surface known matches and dietary-rule notes so you have something specific to review.
What it checks
Sentinel compares available ingredient and instruction text with declared allergies and terms in the current rule map. Known examples include casein for milk, arachis for peanut, and semolina for wheat. This is a limited mapped-term check—not a comprehensive allergen database.
Supported dietary rules also surface advisory notes for known trigger terms. Product details, portion sizes, preparation, individual tolerance, and clinical suitability may require information the app does not have.
The app can miss hidden ingredients, brands, derivatives, or incomplete recipe text. It cannot assess kitchen cross-contact or certify that a meal is suitable for a medical condition.
What you still need to do
- Read the original recipe and every replacement ingredient.
- Check actual packaging, allergen statements, and preparation conditions.
- Review serving details and any unresolved recipe or nutrition notes.
- Follow your own qualified medical or dietary guidance.
One review, not a separate recipe
Puff Up, Swaps, and Pantry change or inform the recipe. Sentinel’s warnings belong alongside those decisions. A suggested replacement, recognized quantity, or pantry name match is not proof that the recipe is suitable.
Available without Pro
Declared dietary constraints, known-term allergen checks, and supported rule warnings are available to every user. Pro adds transformation and planning tools—not a stronger safety guarantee.
